This tool provides a standard template and text (i.e., exact wording known as "boilerplate") that should be used as a starting point for creating a project's Software Management Plan / Product Plan (SMP/PP). The tool can also be used to bring an existing SMP/PP into full NPR 7150.2 and CMMI Level 2 compliance. Each section of boilerplate was written to address all NPR and CMMI requirements as they apply to most cases. Guidance is provided to help the user determine whether the text can be changed and, if so, in what way. Additionally, each table and figure in the boilerplate contain example entries showing how the table should be built or how the figure might look. NOTE: This tool is available ONLY to GSFC civil servants. |
